Every course begins with something doctors say they were left to work out for themselves, drawn from clinicians' own experience and conversations across the profession rather than from theory or whatever material is free to hand. We build where the need is real and evidenced, so what you get is help with the parts of the job you're actually grappling with, from people who have already been there.

Each course is built with practising clinicians and subject matter experts: doctors who've done the work in the areas the course covers, and paid properly for their time and expertise. We ask them targeted questions drawn from their own experience rather than open-ended requests that eat into a working week, and what they tell us is worked back into the course. So what you learn reflects how the job is really done here, not how a textbook says it should be.

Our Clinical Advisory Board is involved throughout, not just at the end. The board has four members: three senior clinicians and a specialist in adult education. They weigh in when a course is first proposed, review it as it takes shape, and sign it off before it's published. Two questions run through their review: whether it's clinically accurate, and whether people will actually learn from it. A course can be clinically sound but not teach well, and the board is there to catch both. So you can trust both that it's right and that it teaches.

Every course is built around the Aotearoa New Zealand system as it actually works: the frameworks you practise within, the real structure of services, and the resource-constrained environment you work in. It isn't a stage in the process; it's the ground the whole thing is built on, so what you learn applies the day you use it.
